Based on works by Ibn Qayyim Al-Jawziyyah
Much of our focus here at The Sunnah Campus has been on rules, regulations, outward actions and the physical and tangible. Isn't it time we take a focus on developing the inward and spiritual side?
Purification of the soul in Islam, known as Tazkiyat un-Nafs, refers to the process of cleansing one's inner self from sins and negative traits while cultivating virtues and good character. This spiritual practice should play a part in our lives to bring us closer to Allah, achieve inner peace, and attain moral excellence through self-awareness, repentance, remembrance of Allah, righteous deeds, and avoiding sin. It should be a lifelong journey of personal growth and spiritual development.
