The Madinah Book is taught in the west and it is very grammar focused. Students end up with plenty of grammar yet are struggling to string together a few basic sentences in Arabic.
The curriculum taught in The Islamic University of Madinah is not just the Madinah books but so many other books, books that focus on vocab building, phrases, conversational arabic, reading and writing.

We aim to not just teach the Madinah book but much of the comprehensive curriculum taught in the city of the Prophet ﷺ at The Islamic University of Madinah so students are not simply left with a variety of grammar rules to memorise but the actual ability to speak, the ability to read and the ability to write confidently in Arabic.

The course is designed by a graduate of the Madinah book, who has studied the Madinah Book in the UK and also studied it in Madinah alongside other books taught at the university. Because of this, there will be a breath of experience, thought & consideration going into the curriculum insha'Allah.

*We may not always deliver 2 lessons per week, however we aim to deliver a total of 92 lessons (approx. 1hr 10mins each), so a lesson ever gets cancelled, we aim to make it up.

*There may be some lessons without homework, however expect there to be homework for 95%+ of lessons.

Commitment to live classes
Do not worry about committing to live classes. Students can choose to attend live or study at their own pace insha'Allah. The vast majority of lessons have already taken place and recordings have been made available.

Students will be able to access recordings as well as homework set by the teacher on their individual portals which they can log into on our website once they've signed up for the course insha'Allah.

✏️ Prerequisite
Should be able to recognise arabic letters and read with the markings to at least a very very basic level, even if pronunciation and fluency isn't the best.
