The Madinah Books are taught in the west and they are very grammar focused. Students learn plenty of grammar yet are struggling to string together a few basic sentences in Arabic. The curriculum taught in The Islamic University of Madinah is not just the Madinah books but so many other books, books that focus on vocab building, phrases, conversational arabic, reading and writing.
We aim to not just teach the Madinah books but much of the comprehensive curriculum taught at The Islamic University of Madinah so students are not simply left with a variety of grammar rules to memorise but the actual ability to speak, read and write confidently in Arabic as well as understand the Qur'an.
