Prerequisite
Beginner friendly
No prior knowledge of tajweed or makharij is needed.
Minimum Commitment
This course requires a minimum commitment of 4 months upon registration.
📚 Student Plan & What to Expect
Qai'dah (4 months):
- Starting from ا ب ت (You may not feel this is necessary for you, but sometimes it's better to start fresh).
- Identifying letters in different forms
- Correct pronunciation of letters with different markings
- Correctly joining letters together to form words
- Implementation of rules of Tajweed
Students should expect the qa'idah level to be completed within 4 months at which point they would have hopefully learned how to read the Qur'an with the correct makharij & Tajweed rules (do not expect perfection at this stage). We do not guarantee that this will be achieved within exactly 4 months. It may take longer or it may be shorter than 4 months, however we believe approx. 4 months to be a very accurate estimate based on past experience.
Qur'an Reading:
After the initial qa'idah course, students will continue onto Qur'an reading with their teacher in order to develop fluency and proficiency in reading insha'Allah.
Monthly payments will continue but if you decide you no longer wish to continue after the initial 4 months, you can choose to cancel your subscription by logging in and doing so insha'Allah.

Try to attend as much as you can. If you're worried about commitment, worry not. The classes are limited to 5 students so hopefully it will be fairly easy for teachers to support with catch up if any lessons are missed. Teachers may offer lesson recordings.

Ustadh Mohammed Shousha (Egypt)
Having memorized the Qur'an, Ustadh Mohammed has been an Imam for over 10 years. He holds ijazahs in Tuhfatul Atfal and Al Jazariyyah, which are poems on tajweed. Ustadh Mohammed also holds ijazahs in the hifdh of Qur'anic recitation modes Hafs a'n A'sim and Shu'bah a'n A'sim. He is experienced in teaching English-speaking students and alongside his Islamic qualifications, holds a bachelor's degree in Electronic and Communication Engineering.
Ustadh Hamza Abdullah (UK)
Currently a student at the world renowned Islamic University of Madinah in the faculty of Hadith, Ustadh Hamza graduated from the university's Arabic school achieving a Diploma in Arabic Language for Non-Native Speakers. Ustadh Hamza has memorised the Qur'an and attained an ijazah in Tajweed in the city of Madinah and is an experienced teacher for english speaking students.
Ustadha Somaia Ahmed (Egypt)
Having memorised the Qur'an, ustadha Somaia has attained ijazahs in the modes of reciting the Qur'an of Hafs an A'sim and shu'bah an A'sim. Ustadha Somaia is experienced in teaching english speaking students online, holds a qualification in preparing an Arabic teacher for foreign speakers and has attained ijazat in a number of Islamic books. In addition to her Islamic related qualifications, she has attained a Bachelors in Pharmacy.
Ustadha Mariam Ahmed (Egypt)
Having also memorised the Qur'an, ustadha Mariam has attained 2 ijazahs in the recitation mode of Hafs an A'sim and holds a bachelor's Degree from Cairo University in Arabic & Islamic Studies. She is qualified in 'Preparing an Arabic teacher for non-native speakers', 'skills of teaching tajweed in English' and 'preparing a Qur'an & Arabic teacher for non-native speakers'.
